What is the waterproof and breathable membrane?
By laminating (pasting) the film to the fabric, it prevents water from entering from the outside and allows moisture inside to escape. Waterproof and breathable films can be broadly classified into two types: “porous” and “non-porous”.
Porous membranes are films with pores that are smaller than rain or other liquids and larger than moisture molecules, and these pores release the moisture from inside the clothes. Non-porous membranes do not have any pores like porous membranes, and the film itself absorbs and releases moisture that is trapped inside clothing. In general, porous membranes tend to be more moisture permeable and non-porous membranes tend to be more waterproof. Most of what we handle are non-porous membranes. Additionally, our eco-friendly membrane is packaged without using paper or film, making it easy to handle without using extra resources.
